Kate Middleton was born on 9 January 1982 to Michael and Carole Middleton at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
Although Kate was born into a middle class family, by no means is she a posh totty. Her father’s side of the family came from Leeds, West Yorkshire and her mother’s side were miners and labourers from County Durham.
Kate was raised in Berkshire and went to a public school Marlborough College, where she attained eleven GCSEs and three A-Levels.
Like her fiancé she then went on to University of St Andrews to study History of Art and graduated with a 2:1 in 2005.
